Towards its goal to make an impact on providing global environmental solutions, TECTON has leveraged its capabilities and rapidly moved into wastewater treatment.
Water is a scarce resource, and wastewater must be recycled and put to re-use. On the other hand, wastewater, if not treated, creates health problems. Decaying organic matter consumes dissolved oxygen in water bodies, thereby starving aquatic lives.
Vegetation requires essential nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium which are available in plenty in household sewage; but in excessive quantities for direct use as fertiliser. Treated sewage water is an excellent resource for vegetation.
Wastewater treatment is the process of removing contaminants from industrial wastewater and household sewage. The treatment includes processes to remove physical, chemical, and biological impurity. The objective is to produce safely treated effluent, treated sludge and nutrient-rich water for use in irrigation.
To this end, TECTON undertakes conceptual design, detailed design, engineering, procurement and construction of Wastewater treatment plants. Expertise includes:
